Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026

Note: This is a placeholder terms document drafted in good faith. DocSaathi's operator should have it reviewed by a qualified legal professional before a wide public launch — especially because the service handles sensitive document categories such as medical, legal, and financial records.

1. The service

DocSaathi is a document-simplification service. You upload a document (such as a medical report, legal notice, government form, or bank document) and our AI generates a simplified explanation in Hindi and English. By using DocSaathi you agree to these terms.

2. Accounts

You may try the service as a guest. To unlock history and additional usage you must create an account with a valid email address or via Google sign-in. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

3. Acceptable use

You may only upload documents you have the right to possess and share. You must not use DocSaathi to process or distribute content that is illegal, fraudulent, harmful, harassing, or that infringes the rights of others. We may suspend accounts that violate these rules.

4. Free tier and Saathi Plus subscription

The free tier includes a limited number of document summaries per day. Saathi Plus is a paid subscription at ₹199 per month, billed through our payment processor, Dodo Payments. Saathi Plus removes the daily limit while the subscription is active. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

5. Your documents

You retain all rights to the documents you upload. You grant DocSaathi a limited license to process them solely to provide the service (including sending their content to our AI provider for summarization). We claim no ownership over your documents.

6. Informational only — not professional advice

DocSaathi provides simplified explanations for informational purposes only. It is not medical, legal, or financial advice. AI-generated summaries may be incomplete, imprecise, or wrong. Always verify important details against the original document and consult a qualified doctor, lawyer, or financial advisor before making decisions.

7. Service availability and accuracy

We aim to keep DocSaathi available and accurate, but the service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we do not warrant that AI-generated summaries will be free of errors.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DocSaathi and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including decisions made in reliance on a summary — arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (or ₹0 for free users).

9. Termination

You may stop using DocSaathi and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms or for misuse of the service.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
